Role Overview:
As a Trainee Mortgage Advisor, you will work alongside experienced advisers, supporting clients through one of the most important financial decisions of their lives. You will receive structured training and ongoing mentorship while developing the skills and knowledge required to provide mortgage and protection guidance in a regulated environment.
The role offers exposure to mortgage products, protection solutions, client relationship management, and financial planning processes. You will gain practical experience while building a strong foundation for a long-term career within mortgage and financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients throughout the mortgage and protection application process from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Assist in identifying suitable mortgage and protection solutions based on client circumstances and objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering exceptional service throughout their journey.
- Prepare and maintain accurate client records and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with lenders, solicitors, underwriters, and other third parties to ensure efficient case progression.
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Monitor market developments and stay informed of mortgage products, lending criteria, and regulatory changes.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in line with FCA regulations and company compliance standards.
- Contribute towards individual and team performance objectives.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Property, or a related discipline preferred.
- Level 4 Mortgage Advisory Certification or CeMAP qualification completed or actively working towards.
- Genuine interest in mortgage advice, financial services, and property finance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Professional, motivated, and customer-focused approach.
- Understanding of financial services regulations and compliance principles is advantageous.
